Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Plan & Organize Fire Drills:

  • Develop and schedule fire drills according to regulatory requirements.

  • Work with management and staff to determine the best times and methods for drills.

  • Ensure that drills are designed to simulate realistic emergency situations to improve preparedness.

Sharing Fire Drill Response Results:

  • Share the results of fire drills with the charge nurse or designated employee on each unit to provide feedback on performance.

  • Offer actionable insights to improve emergency response in specific areas or teams.

Conduct & Evaluate Drills:

  • Lead fire drills, including supervising evacuations and monitoring staff response.

  • Evaluate how well employees respond during drills and provide constructive feedback for improvement.

  • Identify areas of improvement and develop plans for enhancing overall emergency preparedness.

Report & Communicate:

  • Document fire drill results and evaluate staff performance.

  • Communicate findings and suggestions for improvement with leadership to ensure continuous safety improvement.

  • Provide regular updates to the safety team and management regarding drill outcomes and safety status.

Complete Additional Duties as Assigned:

  • Take on additional responsibilities related to fire safety and emergency preparedness as directed by leadership.

  • Assist in other safety-related initiatives as needed across the organization.

Provide Support at Customer Sites:

  • Coordinator support may be provided as needed at customer sites to ensure consistent safety measures and compliance with fire drill protocols.

  • Travel may be required to support safety drills and ensure compliance across various locations.

Qualifications:

Education :

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Skills :

  • Exceptional organizational and leadership capabilities, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously while maintaining efficiency and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration and interaction with staff at all levels, as well as senior leadership.

  • In-depth knowledge of fire safety equipment, emergency protocols, and best practices to ensure safety compliance and readiness.

  • Skilled in evaluating staff response during emergency drills, providing constructive and actionable feedback to enhance overall performance.

  • Proficient in administrative tasks, including the management and oversight of work orders and asset records in a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

  • Outstanding organizational, communication (both oral and written), and planning skills, ensuring seamless coordination across various operational activities.

  • Ability to provide management and support staff with comprehensive reports and strategic guidance, facilitating informed decision-making regarding maintenance schedules and operational priorities.

  • Proven capacity to thrive in high-pressure, fast-paced environments, demonstrating flexibility and the ability to prioritize effectively.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage emergency situations calmly.

  • Flexibility to work outside regular business hours as fire drills may occur during non-business hours.

  • Ability to travel to different customer sites as required for the role.
