The Senior Manager, Sales Operations - Incentive Compensation (IC) is a highly visible role within the Sales organization. The individual in this role will utilize their analytical expertise and communications skills to provide guidance to departmental decision-makers on topics specifically related to Incentive Compensation, and other areas as needed. This individual will be responsible for daily oversight of the Sales Teams Incentive Compensation plans: NSS, NSSO, NSR, ISS, SAM, and others along with contests and year end awards. This role will be the main point of contact for internal and external partners and will be responsible for reporting results and weekly trends back to leadership. Additionally, this role will be exposed to and participate in many of the other Sales Operations functions supporting a pharmaceutical salesforce including but not limited to reporting, analysis, systems, and productivity.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for creating and processing Quarterly IC Results for all sales teams, including IC Committee presentation materials for Senior Director, Sales Operations

  • Responsible for creating and submitting payroll file to HR for all IC payments including award trip

  • Collaborate with IC Partner on weekly analysis and confirm data shown in field portal is accurate

  • Ensure all quarterly IC eligibility being applied to IC payouts is accurate

  • Responsible for processing IC data on regular and timely basis for field communication purposes with internal stakeholders (Sr Dir of Ops)

  • Participate in discussions around Incentive Compensation Plan design and contest design, and responsible for generating meeting minutes

  • Responsible for housing all IC results in one location for historical purposes

  • Responsible for leading IC vendor to deliver weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly deliverables

  • Be the main point of contact for field leadership when there are questions regarding Incentive Compensation

  • Partner with commercial and non-commercial departments for development of IC plan and reporting

  • Monitor IC dashboards for accuracy whenever data is published

  • Occasional travel is required to Sales Meetings and to vendor headquarters

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor degree required

  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of work in the life science industry within sales operations

  • At least 3 years or more of direct Sales Operations experience in incentive compensation processing and design

  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint)

  • Experience leading/managing vendors in the life science industry

  • Experience working in a matrix environment, with the ability to manage multiple customer needs and working on projects that run simultaneously and are interdependent

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-moving, dynamic, small-company environment and effectively collaborate cross-functionally with both internal and external customers

  • Demonstration of a high level of character and ethics to support company values.
