Applied Research Solutions is seeking a full-time System Interoperability Principal to provide support at Hanscom AFB.

Responsibilities include:

  • Analyze interoperability issues

  • Provide technical assistance to resolve complex problems/issues during development, testing and operational fielding of various communication systems

  • Provide support to software integration and test efforts

  • Plan, implement, and monitor the fielding of Link 16 to other countries

  • Attend key planning meetings for NATO and other allies to ensure Link 16 interoperability with allied fighter aircraft and Combined Air Operation Centers

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Technical experience required:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • MS in engineering and 15 years of data links and communications engineering experience, 5 years of which must be in the DoD

  • Knowledge and experience in the integration, testing, and deployment of Air Force systems and their associated data links, to include definition of data link interoperability, interfaces, and verification and test assessment requirements

  • Knowledge and experience in Developmental and Operational Test and Evaluation at the sub-system and system level

  • Knowledge and experience in defining and documenting Combat Net Radio (CNR) networking parameter configurations to be used by Air Force weapon systems

  • Knowledge and experience developing and documenting Joint Service approaches for integrating weapons into existing tactical data link environments

  • Expertise in the following: DoD aerial data links, DoD aerial data link message formats, aerial networks, over-the-air communications architectures, RF communications and systems

  • Secret clearance required
