Nike Senior Director, Global Apparel - Womens Running Beaverton, Oregon

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a Senior Director of Global Apparel for Women’s Running! This role is responsible for leading product strategy and product creation to build industry-defining apparel that inspires movement for everyday and elite athletes globally. This person will possess a strong strategic vision, excellent communication skills, and be adept at effectively influencing others. Ideal candidates should embody a balance of art and science, possessing equally strong product aesthe ics and business insight.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

The Senior Director of Global Apparel for Women’s Running will be responsible for driving the product creation process from initial concept through to commercialization and production. You will ensure on-time delivery and development according to critical dates, product specification, sustainability, performance, and profitability goals.

You will be responsible for all product realization including the planning and evolution of product lines and ultimately, the profitability of the business. You will be responsible for leading the category product creation team and the direction of category product stories including overseeing the evolution of specific product lines.

Strong leadership and an in-depth understanding of the product creation process are essential.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

This role reports to the VP of Global Women’s Apparel and will manage a team of individuals who are responsible for Women’s Running apparel. Key partners include Merchandising, Design, Development (TechDev), Materials, and geo teams. This is a highly matrixed organization and this person will regularly present to large audiences including senior leadership. You will contribute a deep understanding of the consumer, industry, competition, and global marketplace. Your partners and teammates will appreciate your ability to bring process clarity, a solution-oriented mindset, and positive energy to a large and

diverse group.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Passion for Apparel and Running

  • Bachelor's degree and 15 years of experience in a product, merchandising, buying, sales, trend, or style-related field, or a combination of relevant education, experience, and training

  • In-depth understanding of consumer, marketplace, competition, and industry trends

  • Ability to lead and influence a team and enable collaborative working relationships

  • Excellent leadership skills and a consistent record of developing top talent

  • High-level of product foresight / aesthetic sensibility

  • Business insight and strong analytical abilities

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
