Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Mechanic to perform electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic repairs with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will plan and execute projects, troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues, and train team members in areas of expertise. Additionally, the role involves developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs, ensuring safety compliance, and supporting company quality systems and audits.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic repairs with minimal supervision.

  • Plan and execute projects, including cost estimates, as directed.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.

  • Train team members in areas of expertise.

  • Address work orders and assist with parts ordering.

  • Help develop and implement preventative maintenance programs.

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and equipment installations.

  • Ensure safety compliance and report hazards.

  • Support company quality systems and audits.

  • Design and fabricate repairs or improvements.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in mechanical systems, plumbing, steam/boilers, pneumatics, confined spaces, and conveyor systems.

  • Strong problem-solving and prioritization skills.

  • Physical ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, and stand for at least 3 hours.

  • Capable of lifting 50–70 lbs occasionally.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and flexible schedules.

  • Proficient in written and verbal communication.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Electrical Certifications such as LME (this would warrant a higher pay of $42.72 - $44.01).

  • Experience with welding and metal fabrication (training provided if needed).

Work Environment

This is an industrial manufacturing facility. There are large machines on the production floor that can be loud when running. Hearing safety and steel-toed shoes are required. The environment is clean and well-maintained with all safety signage and designated walkways/work areas. The night shift runs from Monday to Friday, 10 pm to 6:30 am, with training on the day shift from 6 am to 2:30 pm.

This is a Permanent position based out of Beaverton, Oregon.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $81556.80 - $83969.60/yr.

Medical, dental, vision, sick pay, PTO, apprenticeship and training programs for technical roles, union position.

Workplace Type

This is a fully onsite position in Beaverton,OR.
