WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We need a 3D Generalist to join our team at Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon. Part of Nike’s digital evolution hinges on the ability of the 3D production visualization team to create photorealistic footwear assets. Our best artists are technically minded, highly organized, and savvy with a breadth of digital tools while ambitious to learn new programs and techniques. They can work independently, efficiently problem solve, and bring enthusiasm to the team.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

On the daily, you will utilize your expert 3D knowledge & artistic skills coupled with detailed technical inputs to contribute to the creation of product accurate 3D footwear assets that reflect Nike technical guidelines. You will additionally ensure consistency and quality across a large volume of assets while taking and applying feedback in a timely and iterative manner. You will self-manage project resources and track project status to keep the team updated on progress. You will speak accurately to the work as needed and professionally represent the team.

WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?

You will work on the CPBM footwear production studio team alongside world class 3D modelers, material artists, visualization artists, and coordinators. You will report to 3D production studio management and meet with footwear product and technology stakeholders. You will also collaborate process and workflows with the footwear 3D design teams.

WHAT YOU BRING TO NIKE

• Bachelor’s degree in Design/Art, 3D Art, Game Design or related field, or equivalent combination of education, experience, or training

• Proficient knowledge of 3D software general use

• Proficient knowledge of digital color, lighting, look development & rendering

• Working knowledge of 3D materials and PBR shader workflow

• Basic understanding of applying colors & materials in Substance Painter

• Basic understanding of Unreal Engine & Perforce workflows

• Proficient understanding of a 3D visualization pipeline

• Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills

• Ability to work as part of a strong, high-functioning team to deliver business results through understanding the value of sharing information and by constantly learning from those around you to build skills
