Minimum Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Eight years of experience in administrative services; OR

Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus five years of experience in administrative services; OR

A bachelor's degree plus five years of experience in administrative services; OR

An advanced degree plus four years of experience in administrative services.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:

Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Administrative Program Director 4 positions differ from those allocated to the job of Administrative Program Manager 4 by the presence of directing administrative programs and support functions and by the supervision exercised.

Administrative Program Director 4 positions differ from those allocated to the job of Deputy Undersecretary by the absence of statutory designation.

Examples of Work

Any level of this series may involve two to twenty administrative functions, such as human resources, purchasing, information technology, inventory, property control, accounting, telecommunications, budget, buildings and grounds, maintenance, duplicating/printing, central records, warehousing, grants/contracts, dietary, housekeeping, laundry, quality assurance and motor pool/fleet management.
