Pro Action of Steuben and Yates, Inc. Head Start Support Staff in Bath, New York
Pro Action’s Head Start Program is accepting applications for Classroom Support Staff in our Cooktown Classroom.The successful candidate will have direct daily interaction with children and assist with implementing classroom and small group activities. You will work to maintain a clean and safe classroom environment and be involved in the preparation and/or serving of meals and snacks for children. In carrying out all responsibilities, the Classroom Support Staff must adhere to Head Start Performance Standards and New York State Day Care Regulations. As a Classroom Support Staff, you are a valued member of the classroom team working with a diverse group of young children and building strong relationships with families within the community. The Support Staff will need to understand how to collaborate with a variety of diverse people and roles.RequirementsA high school diploma or equivalent is required. The ideal candidate will be expected to have reliable, timely, and consistent transportation to the school and other agency events/trainings as required. You must be willing to complete a comprehensive background check including fingerprints, staff exclusion list, statewide central register are required as well as a current physical with TB test results will be required before working in the classroom.The Support Staff position is a full-time, 12-month position that is eligible for benefits that include health insurance and a retirement plan with employer contributions, generous paid time off, and several paid holidays.
