Summary: This job is responsible for providing basic and specialty cleaning services to all areas of the hospital including patient rooms, offices, hallways, floors and public environments as assigned in order to maintain the hospital in a sanitary, safe and attractive condition.

Location: United Memorial Medical Center (UMMC-Batavia)

Department: Environmental Services

Schedule: Nights

Attributes:

• Environmental Services experience preferred.
  
• Previous floor care experience preferred.
  

Responsibilities:

• Performs daily cleaning tasks in assigned areas including, but not limited to: washing ceilings and walls; mopping hallways, stairwells, and public areas; washing, waxing and/or vacuuming floors.
  
• Performs work operating manual, battery-powered and electric equipment; uses cleaning equipment such as mechanical floor cleaners, polishers, scrubbers and vacuums; cleans and maintains equipment such as janitor closets; monitors assigned areas and equipment for needed repairs and informs supervisor.
  
• As needed gathers and disposes of garbage, waste, soiled linen, regulated, and regular trash in the prescribed manner.
  
• Works with Supervisor and Project Planner on inter office moves and relocations moving furniture and other objects as needed.
  
• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
  

PAY SUMMARY:
The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

PAY RANGE: $17.00 - $18.00
