Job Responsibilities
Assist farm manager in the care of turkeys from age move to market
Includes responsibilities as general repairs and maintenance
Daily and weekly preparation and scheduling
Implementation and execution of daily chores
Ability to follow sanitation policies as prescribed by company directives
Will be held responsible for flock performance
Assist in the supervision of employees sent to the farm
Ability to work scheduled weekends or holidays
Take flock health samples
Minimum Qualifications
* Cannot own or raise any type of fowl (i.e. turkeys, chickens, geese, pheasants, parakeets, Hogs etc.)
* Able to meet all Grow Out sanitation requirements
* Basic mechanical skills/brood facility care of poults up to 7 weeks
* Able to work scheduled weekends or holidays
* Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record
* PHYSICAL: Able to work in dusty environment with ammonia present in all weather conditions
* Able to twist, stoop, bend, squat, lift, carry, reach-handling turkeys, equip, feed, litter >50# from occasionally to frequent basis
* Ability to use respiratory protection
Preferred Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Previous turkey experience and/or a farm background (2 years)
* Possess good communications and supervisory skills based on experience or training

At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for this role is between $845.19 - $1183.65 per week and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location.
