The Baraga Area School district is accepting applications for the following position:

Full-time Custodian

Preference may be given to applicants with experience or training in custodial work and/or some aspects of light building maintenance.  Baraga Area Schools will provide training as necessary.  Applicants must be able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities:

• Cleaning and disinfecting the building
• Hauling trash
• Attend to emergencies as needed
• Light maintenance
• Summer:  Deep cleaning of classrooms, hallways, stairways, etc.
• Setup and cleanup following events
• Follow board policies and procedures

Physical Requirement:

• Lift/carry heavy objects 
• Move furniture, equipment, supplies and tools
• Bend/squat/reach/kneel/twist/scrub/sweep/vacuum/mop
• Climb ladders/use lift
• Use cleaning chemicals on a regular basis

• Safely operate job-related machinery
