Key job responsibilities

As an engineering leader on the Amazon Music Search team, you will lead a team of search engineers, product managers and program managers. You will collaborate with stakeholders and leadership to define and execute on the product, technical and science vision for the team. You will lead the Music Search team in Bangalore and build mechanisms to partner with the Music teams in other locations. You are deeply technical and love to dive deep and can provide technical guidance to your team. You demonstrate strong skills to hire and develop the best engineers, scientists and managers. You regularly communicate the progress to leadership and stakeholders and to your team. You are the champion of your teams and you continuously raise the bar. Basic Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience

• 5+ years of engineering team management experience

• 10+ years of planning, designing, developing and delivering consumer software experience

• Experience partnering with product or program management teams

• Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems

• Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects and development teams in an Agile environment
