Vontier Product Owner in Bangalore, India
The Product Owner –Devices Cloud will be responsible for defining core requirements related to the remote management of the devices portfolio and prioritizing the team backlog to streamline the execution of program priorities while maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of the features or components for the team. The Product Owner will work with the other Invenco by GVR platform teams to determine dependencies and drive exceptional customer outcomes.
This is a technical product ownership role within an agile environment, and provides a vital link between the customers, product and development teams.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Responsibilities include:
· Be a customer advocate and product evangelist both internally and externally
· Attend customer meetings as required to ensure a full understanding of the customer needs, contribute to solutioning and capture requirements effectively
· Document customer requirements, product requirements and acceptance criteria clearly, and build a shared understanding of the problem and solution with the development team
· Provide leadership to your scrum teams, define and continuously refine the backlog for the teams
· Closely collaborate with the other Product Owners and the UX team in the business to stay aligned on the inter-dependencies and cross-functional requirements
· Participate in the Invenco by GVR PI planning process and ensure requirements for quarterly planning are documented and prioritised in a timely manner
· Assess requirements and work closely with technical leads and architects to ensure implementation aligns with product strategy whilst delivering to customer needs
· Identify dependencies on other Invenco by GVR teams and work to ensure those dependencies can be met
· Own the backlog, collaborating with the product and development teams to make decisions regarding the priority of product backlog items
· Ensure that the team always has an adequate amount of prior prepared tasks to work on
· Ensure stakeholders are informed throughout the project
· Deal with conflicts and constraints to deliver optimum value to our customers and our business
· Work with test engineers to ensure appropriate testing & validation is carried out
· Assist with defect resolution & problem solving
· Manage clarifications with the customer during the UAT cycle of the project
· Assist the Business development team/s to sell products and solutions to customers by providing pre-sales support, conducting product demonstrations, technical discussions, training and site visits
· Understand compliance and regulatory requirements for your solutions
· Build relationships with other leaders in the business, proactively bring ideas into Invenco
· Stay up to date with an in-depth knowledge of Invenco by GVR and related industry products/trends technology.
· Share ideas and communicate via regular meetings and presentations with the team
ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE
· 5+ years relevant experience in a similar or transferrable role
· Experience with AWS or other cloud services
· Experience with remote device management or IoT remote management
· Experience with Multi-tenant environment
· API / SSO integration experience
· Experience with UX customer journey design
· Experience in stakeholder management, requirements gathering and exposure to external customers
· Bachelor’s in computer science, engineering, or similar relevant field
· Commercial mindset, preferably with exposure to both product development and professional services environments
· Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills
· Excellent organizational and time management skills
· In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles – SAFE POPM/ CSPO or any associated certifications preferred.
· Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
