Position : ETO Engineer

Location : Bangalore

Reporting Reporting : Engineering Manager

Nature of work : Individual contributor

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Engineering and design of Industrial equipment such as compressors/vacuum pumps/blowers.

  • Creation and PLM release of 3D parts/assemblies, 2D drawings, and technical documentation as per Ingersoll-Rand standard.

  • Coordinates the preparation of project documentation according to agreed times, methods and procedures with the customer.

  • Responsible for creating standard technical documentation, which includes technical drawings, data sheets, spreadsheets, P&IDs, operating diagrams, wiring diagrams, painting procedures, packing lists, inspection & test reports, spare parts list, and so on.

  • Assists the Project Manager in meeting agreed-upon submission dates for documentation as per the terms of the contract.

  • Assists the Proposal/PM during the bidding phase by analysing possible specifications for the timing of documentation submission to the customer.

Essential Skills:

  • Min 1-2 year experience in the oil & gas, chemical, power plant, or process industries as a Project Engineer, Order Engineer or similar roles.

  • Hands on experience in large assembly drawings, isometric drawings, GAD, P&ID, data sheets, painting procedures, packing list, inspection & test reports, spare parts list, and so on.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in industries related to compressors, blowers, fans, pumps, turbines, generators, gearboxes, oil & gas, machine building, or any industries involving large rotating equipment.

  • Experience in CAD modelling software (Creo Parametric/Inventor/AutoCAD) and PLM tools (Windchill/SAP/Vault).

  • Experience in structural, skid, and part design.

  • Experience in CAD tools such as Microstation, SmartPlant 3D, or PDMS is an advantage.

  • Multitasking, along with communication with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and clients.

  • Excellent communication skills in English.

Education and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related subject.

  • 3-5 years of total experience after graduation.
