Johns Hopkins University WordPress Support Assistant (Intern) Baltimore, Maryland
The IT@JH Design group is looking for a curious, self-motivated WordPress Support Assistant (Intern) to support our websites built on the WordPress platform.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Assists with resolving technical problems related to our websites or the WordPress theme components, gaining real-world problem-solving experience.
Reviews and assesses customer websites to ensure they align with the latest Johns Hopkins standards and practices.
Participates in design research and competitor analysis to improve our website design and features.
Assists with updating and improving the customer support website, gaining practical experience in content management.
Performs quality assurance (QA) testing on new website features and updates to ensure everything works smoothly before launch.
Shares ideas on how to make our customers’ websites more user-friendly and engaging.
Works closely with the team, learning from experienced professionals while supporting various projects and initiatives.
Provide attention to detail in data gathering, specifications development and documentation and record keeping.
Utilize basic degree of analytical skill.
Work under direct supervision in support of team initiatives.
Other duties as assigned.

Communicates clearly and concisely with others.
Is motivated to learn and grow in the field of web development and design including staying up to date with new trends and technologies.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or graduation equivalent.
Some College.
Demonstrates a basic knowledge of website creation and support.
Preferred Qualifications
Exposure to WordPress or similar tools for managing website content.
Basic understanding of HTML/CSS or desire to learn.
