Johns Hopkins University Epic Application Intern Baltimore, Maryland
IT@JH Health IT is looking for an Epic Application Intern . We are looking for bright energetic individuals who have completed at least two years of college coursework for an internship to assist users and IT Epic builders with functions involving Epic (our EMR - electronic medical record). The individual must have an analytical mind, like to solve problems, be organized and a self-starter.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Completing tasks like Help Desk triage, Questionnaires, MyChart proxy requests and In-basket pool monitoring and auditing.
Help update and create confluence pages for team documentation.
Research topics in Epic Galaxy.
Assist with creation of support documentation.
Test clinical workflows as described in training tip sheets.
Demonstrates ability to devise simple bench-marking metrics to assess system performance.
Demonstrates attention to detail in data gathering, specifications development and documentation and record keeping.
Communicates effectively with users, colleagues and developers.
Demonstrates basic degree of analytical skill.
Demonstrates the ability to organize large amounts of data into groups and/or concrete classifications
Demonstrates the ability to create and review presentations by evaluating the appropriate audience.
Exhibits ability to escalate issues timely and accurately.
Demonstrates the ability to attain to established deadlines for project tasks and/or issues resolution.
Works under direct supervision in support of team initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or graduation equivalent.
Some college.
Preferred Qualifications
College coursework.
Proficient in Excel, Word and Power Point.
Comfortable learning new software with training.
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing concisely, quick learner.
