Description Position Summary A Fitness Specialist provides health and fitness service, ensures a safe and clean environment while initiating fitness assessments, exercise and equipment orientations, and promoting fitness center programs and services. Essential Functions Conducts primary fitness assessments and equipment orientations. Acts as Manager on Duty when the management team is not present. Sanitizes the equipment and ensures it is safe and in working order. Ensures supplies on the fitness floor are properly stocked. Moves quickly and acts as the primary responder once on scene in all emergency codes - if 1st responder: must perform CPR, use AED, or apply first aid as needed; if 2nd responder: must help as needed, crowd control, and handle documentation. Develops incentive programs and presentations to keep members engaged and educated. Delivers health screenings and special events on and off site as needed.
