Cook. The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch (Avon, Colorado). 15 openings. Temporary, F/T job from 10/01/2024 - 04/15/2025. Min. 35hrs/week. 8 hour shifts. Morning: 5:00AM - 8:00AM through 1PM - 4PM; Afternoon: 2:00PM - 10:00PM; Overnight: 10:30PM - 7:00AM. (5 rotating days including weekends. Duties: Prepare special meals or substitute items. Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters. Pull food from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator. Ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish. Maintain food logs. Monitor the quality and quantity of food that is prepared. Communicate assistance needed during busy periods. Inform Chef of excess food items for use in daily specials. Inform Food & Beverage service staff of menu specials and out of stock menu items. Ensure the quality of the food items. Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist. Prepare cold foods. Other related duties.

Requirements: High School Degree or equivalent required. One year related experience required. On the job training provided. Must be able to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance. Pre-employment background check conducted. Rate of Pay: $20.60/hr. O/T at $30.90/hr. A single work week will be used to compute wages. Wages paid bi-weekly by direct deposit. Employer will reimburse H-2B worker in 1st pay period for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, & other related fees, including those mandated by government (excluding passport fees). Air transport to place of employment will be provided at no cost to worker (air travel paid upfront); Ground expenses & subsistence costs will be reimbursed to worker during 1st pay period. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.88/day during travel to a max $59.00/day w/receipts. If worker does not complete at least 1/2 of employment period worker is expected to refund employer. Return transport will be provided if worker completes employment period or is dismissed early. Employer will provide at no charge all tools, supplies, & equipment required to perform job. Employer guarantees to offer work for hrs equal to at least 3/4 of workdays in each 12-week period of total employment.

Shared, subsidized housing assistance available through COHABIT Hostel. Housing is optional, if elected, cost at approx. $1000 per month. Utilities included. Payment for housing made to employer and employer will pay landlord. All deductions from worker's paycheck required by law will be made.
