Amazon Technical Program Manager II, Ops Tech ACES in Austin, Texas

We are looking for a talented and experienced Technical Infrastructure Program Manager to own and execute strategic, cross-functional technology projects.

As a Technical Program Manager II, you will own and execute medium, difficult, cross-functional projects and initiatives. You will work at country, regional and/or cross regional levels to drive improvements and implement solutions that improve system configurations, workflow efficiencies, performance metrics and the customer experience. This role requires the ability to lead through influence to deliver meaningful results and tangible productivity and efficiency gains. You should be excited about learning every day and delighting customers by solving problems that impact order fulfilment. You are comfortable working with a wealth of data, interfacing with end-users and driving large, complex technical solutions to customer problems.

This is a highly collaborative role where you will work with process owners and SMEs to solve complex problems with technical solutions. You will own scoping and creating project plans, developing processes, coordinating across organizations, driving execution, and communicating to senior management on status, risks and process/product changes. You will create effective communication plans to provide visibility to all impacted teams and enable overall process alignment.

Key job responsibilities

As part of the Problem Management team:

• You will be a pragmatic innovator that can translate operational issues into technology solutions that scale both technically and operationally.

• You will manage a variety of projects with significant scope that impact several different areas of the business with reliance on other internal organizations.

• You will draw on customer feedback, usage and operational data, and your experience with technology businesses to set and deliver on goals for identifying and driving enhancement of internal processes and business activities in this space.

• Engage with regional Problem Management teams to ensure coordination and develop best-practices to create scalable mechanisms and accelerate execution velocity.

• As a single point of contact for the project team, you will own the end-to-end project management, leveraging technical knowledge to deliver solutions across multiple projects or teams.

• Provide guidance and direction to the teams under supervision to achieve defined goals.

• You will work hands-on with Operations, Field, Engineering, Stakeholders and Product Management teams to deliver results while fostering input and participation from all levels of the organization.

This role will include up to 30% travel and is based out of Nashville TN.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • 2+ years of software development experience

  • 3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $197,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
