YOUR FUTURE TEAM As part of TCEQs Office of Waste, you would contribute to agency efforts to regulate the generation, treatment, storage, and disposal of various wastes and the cleanup of contaminated sites. See details about what we do. This position is a member of our Occupational Licensing Registration Division. KEY QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors Degree or higher in engineering, environmental/natural sciences, or a related field. Experience with technical training, presentations, or curriculum. Experience in the environmental field. Experience providing customer service. HERES WHAT YOULL BE DOING... Review and approve educational and training courses for the Occupational Licensing Program of the Occupational Licensing and Registration Division of the TCEQ. Review and approve complex training methods, designs, and curriculum of environmental licensing programs. Review for technical content and ensure compliance with agency program rules and or guidelines. Conduct electronic or in person audits of approved training to determine compliance with agency rules and guidance documents. Communicate with customers regarding approval of training course /materials. Work with various related professional groups, committees, internal and external customers to identify and coordinate licensee training needs. Facilitate group discussions, provide technical assistance, and makes presentations related to occupational training activities. Develop, evaluate, and revise moderately complex examinations, regulatory guidance documents, program policies, and rules regarding licensing of environmental occupations. Track and maintain training requests in a database, ensuring data conforms to approved agency data standards. Maintain electronic training records in all appropriate databases. Follow standard operational procedures (SOPs) on data standards and timelines for data entry. Qualifications: EDUCATION EXPERIENCE A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, with a major in a natural or physical science, engineering, environmental studies, or related field, plus two years of full-time experience in environmental activities. *One year of full-time experience in the field of environmental activities may be substituted for each year (30 semester hours) of the required education. OR A masters degree from an accredited college or university in the degrees listed above, plus one year of the required experience. OR A doctorate degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, science, environmental studies, or related fields. OR Two years of full-time experience as a Natural Resources Specialist II at TCEQ. Transcripts/ College Hours or Course Work:See instructionson how to attach documents.
