Staff Backend Engineer - Monetization at Realtor.com ®

What You’ll Do:

• Lead the design and delivery of solutions for complex problem spaces within the squad.

• Provide guidance on system architecture and design, ensuring scalability and reliability.

• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, Analysts, and Engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.

• Mentor and support the development of team members, fostering an environment of continuous learning and growth.

• Explore and prototype new technologies to drive innovation.

• Take initiative and drive projects forward, working autonomously with minimal guidance.

What You’ll Bring:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

• 8+ years of experience in software development.

• 3+ years of experience contributing to architecture and design.

• Proficiency in software development, with a strong willingness to learn and adapt to the Realtor.com technology stack, including Python (FastAPI, Pydantic, NumPy, Pandas) and React.

• Experience with Node.js.

• Extensive experience working with both relational and non-relational databases.

• Knowledge of AWS and database systems is a plus.

• A track record of delivering high value to customers quickly and efficiently, with a focus on regular feedback and continuous improvement.

• Strong commitment to software engineering best practices, including testing, code reviews, and documentation.
