Iteris is seeking a results-drivenManager, Business Development & Customer Successto manage and scale the Account Development, Customer Success, and Renewals teams, with a focus on public sector customers. This role will drive pipeline growth, optimize account engagement, and accelerate revenue across hardware and software

solutions.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead and develop an inside sales team focused on prospecting, customer success, and renewals in the public sector

  • Build a performance-driven culture with accountability and execution

  • Recruit, train, and mentor reps in public sector procurement, sales strategies, and funding processes

  • Align team objectives with company growth initiatives and collaborate with field sales, marketing, and partners

  • Drive prospecting and lead qualification for government agencies, municipalities, and transportation departments

  • Build scalable outreach strategies aligned with public sector purchasing behaviors

  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to enhance awareness and engagement

  • Navigate RFPs, cooperative contracts, and grant funding to drive revenue

  • Implement MEDDPIC methodology to qualify and close deals

  • Equip reps with tools, messaging, and tactics to improve conversion rates

  • Track performance and refine strategies to ensure consistent execution

  • Oversee customer engagement, adoption, and expansion strategies

  • Maximize customer value from Iteris’ hardware and software solutions

  • Manage renewal forecasting and churn reduction through proactive engagement

  • Partner with support, product, and field teams to drive post-sale success

  • Leverage Salesforce (SFDC) for pipeline visibility, forecasting, and reporting

  • Define and track KPIs, including lead conversion rates, sales cycle velocity, customer retention & expansion, and account engagement

  • Utilize automation and analytics to optimize sales workflows

    What you need to be successful in this role:

  • Bachelors degree

  • Over five (5) years in account development, inside sales, or customer success, focusing on hardware and software solutions

  • Experience leading teams targeting public sector sales and navigating government procurement cycles

  • Proficiency in MEDDPIC sales methodology and structured inside sales execution or equivalent sales qualification methodologies

  • Advanced Salesforce (SFDC) skills for pipeline management and KPI tracking

  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building abilities

    Iteris anticipates paying between $125,000 and $135,000 for this role. However, actual pay offered may vary depending on job related knowledge, skills, and experience.
