As a Data Center Technician (Level 2) at TEKsystems in Austin, TX, you will be at the forefront of our data center operations, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and collaborate with a team of experts who are passionate about what they do.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drop cable down a wall using fish tape or other method. Route cable through data center. Perform pre-termination procedures: organize, form, dress cables and determine length, slack and label cables. Suspend and support cable correctly: Cable tray, J-hook, D-rings, Bridal rings, Trapeze.

• Install grounding for racks, equipment and cable as required.

• Perform fire-stopping procedures on fire walls, install sleeves, pull cable through sleeves and core penetration.

• Terminate low-voltage devices.

• Follow prints.

• Fully complete all paperwork accurately and on time (timesheets, material transfers, work orders, change orders, tool transfers and others as required).

• Adhere to and participate in all Company, customer and industry quality and safety standards and regulations.

Top Skills:

• At least 1 year of rack and stack/smart hands experience.

• Experience installing cable trays, pulling cable/fiber, punch down, and termination.

• Construction experience following blueprints, building, etc.

• Must be able to work 6 - 10 hour shifts. Monday thru Saturday 6AM - 4:30PM. Lots of overtime.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
