Clickhereto see an inside look at the Texas Comptrollers office General description The Unclaimed Property Division is responsible for administering the states unclaimed property program and returning abandoned property to its rightful owners. To accomplish this objective, division staff receives and processes property reports from holders; provides information and assistance to claimants; verifies and processes claims, evaluates data for system implementation and manages the contract audit and voluntary disclosure programs. Owner outreach efforts include posting available properties on two online searchable databases (ClaimItTexas.govandMissingmoney.com) and owner notice mailings. This position will the divisions primary timekeeper, travel coordinator, and records retention coordinator; as well a backup for purchasing and other budget activities. This position may be eligible for a flexible/hybrid work schedule if certain conditions are met; working arrangements may change at any time as business necessitates. Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent Preferred Education: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a Bachelors degree. Experience: Four (4) years performing administrative support duties for internal/external customers Three (3) years recording, updating or reconciling electronic employee timesheets Three (3) years coordinating travel arrangements Two (2) years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite using spreadsheets and writing/editing correspondence Preferred Experience: Two of more years of using or managing SharePoint sites. Two or more years creating requisitions and paying invoices and/or purchasing supplies Two or more years of experience coordinating meetings and scheduling activities for senior level of management or officers of organization In this role you will: Perform division timekeeping duties, coordinates travel arrangements and reimbursements, answers the division director phone line, schedules division activities and coordinates parking and floor access for division staff. Also assist with creating requisitions and verifying division invoices, monitoring monthly budget balances, reconciling p-cards, and preparing PAFs for all personnel actions. Maintain and update division personnel files, coordinates updates to division and personnel forms, creates procedure updates and routes division communications. Develop emp oyee engagement activities and new employee onboarding activities. Assist in procedure writing and procedure testing. Represent the division in meetings, reviews and documents division processes and procedures. Identify opportunities to streamline procedures or improve processes making recommendations and assisting with implementation of approved recommendations.
