We are seeking an experienced Survey Crew Chief who will oversee a two-person crew and provide on-the-job training. This role involves conducting construction staking, topographic boundary, and ALTA surveys, as well as organizing and maintaining survey job files. The successful candidate will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field staff to support project objectives and address any survey-related challenges while following safety protocols and procedures.

Essential Skills
At least 6-19 years of experience as a Survey Crew Chief
Ability to run a two-person crew
Ability to conduct construction staking and ALTA, boundary, or construction staking surveys from day one
Proficiency with land surveying software
Experience working with GPS and Microsoft Office
Valid driver's license and reliable means of transportation
Strong organization and communication skills
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with construction stakeout, ALTA, land surveying, construction staking
Knowledge of total station, Trimble GPS, Topcon, Leica, Carlson
PLS certification is preferred
Work Environment
This position offers the opportunity to start as an Instrument Man while receiving training in our established methods. After the training period, you will run a two-person crew and spend 90% of your time on-site. You will receive a company vehicle, but may need to use your own vehicle initially, with mileage reimbursement provided. You will work closely with the President and a PLS in the office, and the survey team consists of 18 employees. The company has a strong culture, great tenure, and offers growth opportunities, including ownership potential. The company specializes in high-end residential projects, and you will primarily conduct construction staking in the spring, followed by ALTA and boundary surveys.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
