Booji Beauty Bar & Co. is seeking a part-time licensed Cosmetologist to join our growing salon! Our ideal candidate is experienced in a variety of services, such as haircutting, hair coloring, styling, hair extensions, and/or braid styles. You must have completed a cosmetology training program from an accredited school and hold a current cosmetology license. Excellent customer service skills are required to ensure our guest have a pleasant experience, are happy with their completed services, and become regular guest of Booji Beauty. This position is creative every day, is fashion/image driven, and is quality focused. Hair Stylist are the creative backbone of our company. Responsibilities & Duties

Greet guest as they enter the salon and offer refreshments

Perform world-class consultations by following our proven method and listening to clients wants and expectations thorough consultations

Listen to each guest's needs and provide information about available salon services

Cut and style hair according to guest specifications

Provide hair styling, scalp treatments, and hair extension services

Recommend various products to clients

Provide other cosmetic treatments and procedures as needed (i.e. waxing and lash extensions)

Building relationships with clients and building your book

Educate guest on the best way to care for their hair extensions and scalp health

Use the right equipment and ensure it is sanitary for each use

Maintain security of all salon systems and operations

Challenge yourself to listen, be innovative and creative with each guest and each service

Know all retail products, and how to effectively promote them, educate the guest, and close the sale

Advise new trends, looks, and services, educate each guest for home care and future visits

Own a professional image at all times: personal style, hair, attire, makeup, self-confidence, and enthusiasm

Maintain sanitation of salon environment as required by state board guidelines Assist with setting up and maintaining cleanliness of retail displays

Assist manager with front desk operations as needed including but not limited to answering incoming calls, scheduling appointments, and updating client information and records

Maintain two-way communication between manager and all team members

Be a team player and assist other team members with daily duties

Participate in all salon meetings and educational events.

Anticipate and be quick with assistance and support, for all team members

Qualifications & Skills

High school diploma or GED certificate (required) Hold a current Cosmetology license from an accredited school (required)

Beauty salon or day spa experience (preferred)

Strong communication, listening, and customer service skills (required)

Attention to detail (required)

Communication and interpersonal skills (required)
