Role description:

Arcadis seeks a Technical Leader for our Mobility Design and Engineering (DandE) team in Southeastern United States. This position will lead technical aspects of existing and future infrastructure projects primarily being delivered using design build and other alternative delivery methods. This position could be located in Atlanta, Georgia; Orlando or Tampa, Florida.

The Arcadis team is expanding and involved in providing solutions to some of the most complex and exciting highway design challenges for Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and Florida Turniplike. We are looking for a candidate with the skills to support our current projects and help continue to grow our business by building relationships with clients and teaming partners; support pursuit activities as well as help recruit staff to continue to grow our staff.

Role accountabilities: Be responsible for overall technical delivery of DandE projects including technical, schedule, budget and quality of deliverables Work with Project Manager and Area Leads to achieve commercial success of projects through rigorous scoping, proper resource allocations, scope management and implementation of quality management process. Leading multi-disciplinary teams by providing directions to key discipline leads around project execution including risk management, scoping, pricing, and scope/budget management. Work with quality team to implement quality management activities within project execution. Participate in monthly project reviews to discuss project progress, assess, and manage projects risks, validate resourcing needs, and monitor project progress against key performance indices. Collaborate with national and global resources to implement best practices and right resources to deliver on-going and future projects. Participating in business development activities including client visits, marketing strategy development and proposal preparations. Specific role may include serving as project pursuit lead in key opportunities to guide our team towards efficient development of proposal to maximize Arcadis' chances to selection. Performing various roles on multi-disciplined projects including QA/QC reviewer, technical advisor, design leader and/or client facing technical project manager.

Required Qualifications: 18 or more years of relevant engineering experience. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Florida Professional Engineering license, or the ability to obtain one within 6 months.

Key Skills/Attributes: In-depth understanding of Design Build and other alternative delivery processes. Experience delivering projects using global resources Ability to oversee multi-disciplinary project teams on delivering complex, fast-paced projects. Must have strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills and be a self-motivated, team-oriented and flexible individual who possess the initiative and ability to tackle project and resourcing challenges. Excellent, clear and concise, oral and written communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to coordinate meetings, conduct effective client presentations and prepare written reports.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience delivering projects with Florida DOT and Florida Turnpike Design Build Experience working with Contractor Active participation in regional and/or national professional associations.
