Job Summary:

The Distribution Transformation Coach will leverage Opex and PMO management systems to lead transformation initiatives across the Supply business unit. Two key areas of focus will be to drive the Distribution Center of the Future initiative as well as represent the Supply business on the enterprise Advanced Manufacturing Excellence (AME) council.

Where is the work

This position has been designated as Remote and work will be performed ­­­in Atlanta, GA

Responsibilities:

  • Distribution Center of the Future initiative:

  • Lead the development and execution of a transformation roadmap to achieve the Distribution Center of the Future strategy; with focus on Sustainability, Lean Culture, Technology, and Talent.

  • Stay current on technology and capability throughout the industry.

  • With AMT team, be responsible in designing Automated Material Handling systems for movements of materials inside the distribution center premises.

  • Lead engagements with third party providers as necessary to innovate distribution solutions; including space planning, slotting, process and automation.

  • Lead strategy for warehouse technology including warehouse management systems (WMS), mobile/handheld technologies, slotting software, and automation equipment.

  • Coach and develop functional and operations leaders from the front line to senior managers on operating a premier performing distribution value stream through leadership culture and behavior changes, and process operating rhythm and method changes.

  • Develop distribution center playbook of best practices, tools, training and standards

  • Works with Trane Technologies Advanced Manufacturing lab in designing Automated Material Handling systems for movements of materials inside the distribution center premises.

  • Lead cross-functional teams in the planning and execution of business-critical projects and programs associated with Supply business Distribution strategy.

  • Facilitate workshops for strategic projects planning

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree Industrial Distribution, Supply Chain Management, or related field; or equivalent years of experience required.

  • Minimum of 5 years of lean manufacturing experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years of industrial and process engineering experience; distribution environment preferred.

  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and/or PMI, PMP certification.

  • Knowledge of automation applications with successful development and deployment experience.

  • Collaborate with others to foster effective teamwork by linking own responsibilities to the team’s goals and needs - zeal for new information, knowledge, and experiences.

  • Ability to collaborate and problem solve with other key stakeholders. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to connect with individuals of diverse experiences and backgrounds.

  • Ability to assign priorities in a fast-paced and changing environment.

  • Ability to interpret manufacturing schematics and blueprints preferred.

  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills with the ability to speak and communicate effectively with both senior management and production.

Compensation:

Base Pay Range: $135,000 - $160,000

Total compensation for this role will include a commission/incentive plan. Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.

This role has been designated by the Company as Safety Sensitive.
