2nd shift - CNC Setup Machinist

$23/hr + $.40 shift differential - $5 pay increase after 6 months plus $.40 shift differential

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Setup Machinist to operate CNC machines such as Doosan mills and lathes. The ideal candidate will be adept at reading blueprints to specifications, performing setups on CNC machines, and conducting tool changes and adjustments as needed for different projects. You will also be responsible for performing quality checks on finished parts as they exit the machine and utilizing hand and power tools, as well as measurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines such as Doosan mills and lathes.

• Read blueprints to specifications.

• Perform setups on CNC machines, with engineers programming and editing the machines.

• Perform tool changes and adjustments as needed for different projects.

• Perform quality checks on finished parts as they exit the machine.

• Utilize hand and power tools, as well as measurement tools.

Work Environment

This is a direct placement position on the 2nd shift from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM. You may be asked to work an extended shift from 2:30 PM to 1:00 AM and some Saturdays (typically 3 out of every 6). Training will be conducted on the 1st shift for 4-6 weeks. The position offers union pay, which increases after 6 months, and you will enter the union after 90 days. Custom Hoists is a leading supplier of telescopic and single-stage hydraulic cylinders used in various industrial applications.
