Description

Specialty, services company based in Ashburn, Virginia seeks a Controller familiar with DCAA regulations and processes. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the company's daily accounting functions, managing the accounts payable and accounts receivable departments, and coordinating with General Managers and Office Managers to implement the organization's financial policies.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the organization's daily accounting functions.

• Manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable departments.

• Oversee and approve Bi-weekly payrolls for all locations.

• Perform bank reconciliation and credit card reconciliation for all locations.

• Work with General Managers and Office Managers at multiple locations to implement the organization's financial policies.

• Monitor the cash flow situation regularly and report to the CEO/Owner.

• Coordinate and prepare internal financial statements.

• Manage the budget process.

• Ensure the annual Property Tax Returns are filed in a timely manner and licenses are renewed as per regulations.

• Maintain Fixed Asset Schedule for all locations.

• Ensure inventory reports are generated on a timely basis by all locations.

• Maintain loan/line of credit records.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Proficient in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Demonstrated knowledge of ERP Solutions

• Proven experience in managing Accounting Functions

• Proficiency in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in Auditing

• Familiarity with Budget Processes

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
