ACCESS CONTROL MONITOR

LOCATION: SHAFTER, CA

COMPENSATION: $16.25 + 0.20 (NIGHT PREMIUM) / HOUR

PURPOSE:

Ensure Grimmway properties are regularly patrolled to establish a security presence in the fields and facilities. Initiate security investigations. Ensure access control policies are followed, maintained, and enforced and assist the EHS department with various safety related tasks.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Responsible for patrolling Grimmway properties regularly to maintain order and establish presence. Ensure security measures on all access points. Deter, detect, and report any suspicious behavior. Control vehicle and pedestrian access at facilities. Contact law enforcement of any active crime on Grimmway property or notice any suspicious activity. Assist leads and supervisors with assigned safety duties and inspections (i.e., visual tank inspections, visual waste area inspections, wastewater sampling, equipment inspections)Remain alert during shift, including night shifts. Work with outside agencies (i.e. Law Enforcement, Fire Departments, Local environmental agencies. Obtain and input information in computer system as needed. Fill out reports and perform other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to operate and drive a golf cart. Must be able to drive at night. Ability to work outdoors in various and sometimes extreme weather conditions. Must be able to work in different temperatures (working temperatures as hot as 100 to 105 F and as cold as 32 F). Must be able to move items weighing up to 45 lbs.

• Must have basic computer program experience.
• Must be flexible and be available to work any shift including weekends.
• Must be able to work overtime, including holidays, depending on business needs.
• Ability to work alone.
• Ability to make decisions with sound judgment.
• Must have good attendance records.
• Must be professional and capable of working with others.
• Must be bi-lingual, English/Spanish, with the ability to speak, read, and write in both.
• Must have a valid drivers license with a clean DMV driving record.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain company driver qualifications.
• Must pass pre-placement drug/alcohol screen, physical and functional capacity evaluation. Must pass background check.
