Amazon Principal Executive Communications Manager, Partner Strategy & Engagement in Arlington, Virginia
Description
We are seeking an experienced Executive Engagement Manager to join the AWS Specialists and Partners (ASP) organization The Senior Executive Communications Manager is responsible for developing and implementing strategic communications and engagement plans to enhance and promote overall organization's vision and strategic goals to our internal and external audiences globally.
In this role you will design messaging strategies that consider both proactive and reactive tactics based on active listening and customer and employee data and insights. You will build a multi-year communication strategy for the ASP leadership, identify high-value engagements for senior leadership that provide the optimal platform to reach our audiences and develop compelling, data-rich content to inform and inspire them, and work with lighthouse partners and customers to build case studies that tell our story at high impact, public events. You will maintain a balance of proactive guidance and strategy with flawless delivery to become a trusted partner to the leader of the Specialist and Partner Organization.
Key job responsibilities
This role is responsible for developing and implementing our most visible strategic messaging programs, that resonate with technical audiences and line of business owners, promote engagement, and address customer needs with value-driven communications about AWS products and partner solutions.
Create business and technical narratives to acquire and grow customers and partners at the highest level.
Build the public brand of the AWS Specialist and Partner leader
Build a multi-year strategy that highlights our ability to deliver deep expertise to customers through specialist and partners.
You coordinate end-to-end manage of external engagements including industry, customer, and thought leadership events.
Work directly with the Specialist and Partner leader and serve as a leader for the ASP’s Strategic Communications team on messaging and public brand.
Engage with senior executives and industry thought leaders, driving adoption of Amazon's technology solutions and services
Prepare executives for internal and external speaking engagements to include the creation of content for global meetings focused on achieving business outcomes; internal communications via email or other channels; video script writing; and social media strategy, content creation and execution.
Work closely with the AWS PR, Marketing and Subject Matter Expert teams to align on communication strategies and messaging.
Serve as writer to senior executives for global audiences, including driving the creation and delivery of compelling, executive-level message and presentation materials (slides, scripts, messaging documents, and customer stories, thought leadership)
Manage speaking engagement calendar with other team members to ensure alignment of key messages both internally and externally
Measure and share results of speaking engagements to evaluate impact
Conduct research and monitor industry trends and developments to identify opportunities for enhancing executive communications.

Basic Qualifications
12+ years in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field
5+ years supporting senior executives
Experience working within the business-to-business technology sector
Experience developing technical content for diverse, large-scale audiences
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to articulate a clear point of view on complicated issues in crisp, concise communications Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
Demonstrated experience building trust and influencing cross-functional teams and senior leaders
Experience designing and executing joint marketing plans with strategic alliance partners with global footprint
Experience driving cultural change and influencing organizations through communications, from audience and stakeholder analysis through implementation and success metrics tracking

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $143,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $237,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
