Infrastructure Engineer

The company is located in Herndon, VA and will be a hybrid model of 2 days onsite a week.

What You Will Be Doing:

As a key member of our DevOps team, you will:

• Assist on-site commissioning teams with network and server troubleshooting to ensure successful project completion.

• Manage and expand lab infrastructure, including switches, firewalls, and Linux servers, to support development teams.

• Train commissioning teams on standard solutions to empower their self-sufficiency.

• Engage in effective communication and project discussions with customers.

• Assist in the design, implementation, and management of our site-to-cloud architecture.

• Develop network architecture documentation and user guides to streamline future engineering efforts.

• Provide training, operational support, and input on feature roadmaps.

• Assist with security and compliance projects as needed.

• Suggest product development and feature enhancements.

• Contribute to the management of our cloud network environment.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering (Computer, Electrical, Mechanical), IT, or equivalent experience.

• 2+ years working in industrial networking environments; experience in the power industry is highly preferred.

• At least 1 year working with cloud-native technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.

• 2+ years of Linux system administration experience preferred.

• 2+ years working with virtualization technologies, including VMs and containers.

• 2+ years of experience with TCP/IP networking and configuring equipment such as switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, and VLANs.
