Job Description
As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for using profilometers to check surface finishes and record results on designated forms. You will operate various instruments such as microscopes, micrometers, and roundness gages to inspect parts from operator's machines. Your role will also involve reporting non-conformances to the Quality Manager, interacting with production personnel and management, and performing special quality tasks as needed.
Responsibilities
Use profilometers to check surface finish and record results on designated forms.
Operate microscopes, micrometers, and roundness gages and record findings.
Inspect parts using various gages including air gages, concentricity gages, plug gages, dial bore gages, and drop indicators.
Report any non-conformances to the Quality Manager.
Interact with production personnel and members of management as needed.
Perform special quality tasks and reporting as required.
Essential Skills
At least two years of related quality experience in a metals environment.
Experience measuring parts.
Computer skills (SPC Charts).
Basic math skills.
Ability to use basic instrumentation (micrometer, caliper, gauges, profilometers).
Read blueprint dimensions and basic understanding of GD&T and its purpose.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Knowledge of roundness gages, air gages, concentricity gages, plug gages, dial bore gages, drop indicators.
Experience in grinding or precision machining.
CMM experience, particularly with ZEISS.
Familiarity with very tight tolerances.
Understanding of GD&T symbols, blueprint reading, and common quality instrumentation.
Bilingual capabilities.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00
