Job purpose
The BorgWarner Arden campus offers two world class technical centers and a cutting-edge manufacturing facility that designs and produces turbos, fan, and fan drive components for the automotive industry. POSITION SUMMARY
The Forecast Specialist is responsible for operative planning/forecasting of products and supplies to support the Supply Chain of the Independent Aftermarket organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ REQUIREMENTS
Creation and analysis of the product forecast, aligning it with Sales / Controlling and processing it through SAP using the appropriate forecasting tools.
Monitors sales volumes, seasonal patterns, and trends to help create rolling 12-month product forecast for inventory, immediate and future sales.
Ability to create inventory management strategy based on available tools, team input, supporting RU objectives.
Use root cause analysis methods to help develop and implement workable solutions to achieve optimal inventory levels and support sales/customer requirements.
Create and develop reports to analyze the RU inventory/sales mix and develop strategies to continuously improve KPI’s.
Work directly with Independent Aftermarket sales team, and customers, distributors to provide accurate monthly forecast levels for units and revenue.
Upload of monthly forecast to SAP using the prescribed system delivery tools.
Participates as an effective collaborator in support of continuous process improvement.
Managing and reporting on critical task/functions and key performance indicators.
Controlling and maintaining product master data including necessary documentation.
Supports reporting unit annual LRP forecast process.
Provides ad-hoc sales/forecast analysis as requested by sales and marketing team.
Leads monthly postmortem inventory analysis, supporting relevant product categories.
Supports necessary tasks assisting in the launch of new products.
REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Completed studies in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or equivalent as well as professional experience.
5 - 6 years of experience in forecasting and logistics.
Highly skilled in data analysis and problem solving.
Ability to work in an independent and structured manner.
Skilled working with SAP and MS Office/Teams.
Exceptionally good language skills in English.
Effective communication skills, ability to work both independently as well as in a team.
