About the Role: Learning and Development exists to improve organizational and leadership effectiveness, and to build workforce capabilities to substantially improve business performance and the quality of patient care. The Training and Development Manager is responsible for managing and implementing the design and delivery of training and development programs within the Production Department at our Arden Hills, MN site. Additionally, they provide consultative assistance to managers and supervisors on ways to enhance individual and organizational performance. Your Responsibilities will Include: Site subject matter expert and point of contact for Arden Hills' Direct Labor training processes, the Training Record System (TRS), and all related subsystem and processes. Leads team of eight Training Coordinators responsible for administering Arden Hills Training and Development practices and policies on Production floors. Guides, coaches, directs, and develops direct reports to drive best practices throughout the Training and Development team and our Production organization. Oversees the contractor staffing process, working with both Production and contract agencies to develop systems to place top talent into the plant when and where needed. Leads both local and global projects requiring critical project management skills. Guides Arden Hills team in identifying Lean Business Process improvement opportunities and executing the corresponding project work. Develops tests and visual aids, conducts training classes, and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. Keeps abreast of training and development research: learning theory, motivation theory, and new materials, methods, and techniques. Participates in BSC Global Training and Development Network, representing Arden Hills. Develops in-house programs and practices to identify developmental needs, including preparing personnel for more responsible positions and increasing effectiveness in present assignments. Represents BSC Training Systems and site training requirements for internal and external audits. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in business administration, Industrial Engineering, HR or field related 3-5 years training or manufacturing experience Knowledge of TRS, MES, SAP and Windchill Preferred Qualifications: TRS Technical Expert Core Systems Interfaces (Windchill, TRS, MES) End-to-End Training Program Implementation (System, procedures, and metrics) BSC Core Systems Integration experience General Project Management and Creative Problem Solving Site Culture and People Development Requisition ID:585315 As a leader in medical science for more than 40 years, we are committed to solving the challenges that matter most - united by a deep caring for human life.
