About the Role: As the Manager for Global Business Technology & Solutions Portfolio, you will play a pivotal role in leading the strategic management and execution of a diverse portfolio of technology projects and solutions across the Global Customer Care and Capital Equipment organization. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration to drive successful project outcomes aligned with business objectives. Your Responsibilities will Include: Formal Process Discovery and Optimization: Lead formal process discovery opportunities leveraging task and process mining tools to identify data-driven insights around inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement. Partner with cross-functional business operations teams to map existing processes and systems, identifying opportunities to further implement standard work processes and templates that can be leveraged to improve automatability for the future. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize processes and systems for faster project scoping and delivery, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Partner with the Global Business Automation Development team to find creative solutions that will improve operational efficiencies through automation and innovative technology solutions. Conduct regular Gemba walks, either onsite or remotely, to observe and engage with teams in their work environment, facilitating discussions to identify pain points, bottlenecks, and opportunities for optimization or automation. Cross Functional Project Leadership: Drive effective portfolio management through project scoping activities to precisely delineate deliverables, timelines, and resource needs. Guide cross-functional project teams in delivering optimization and automation solutions that align with business requirements and strategic objectives. Conduct project discovery meetings to discern the current state versus the potential future state, value proposition, level of effort, and strategic alignment, thereby determining project priority. Prioritize projects based on their alignment with strategic goals, anticipated business impact, and resource availability. Industrial Engineering Leadership: Provide visionary leadership founded in industrial engineering principles to optimize operational processes and systems for efficiency and productivity. Lead the Global Business Excellence Automation team to develop standard work, including the standardization of core processes and work templates, to enhance consistent and reliable support. Apply intelligent automation solutions to streamline workflows, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency within the organization. Utilize data analysis and process mapping techniques to identify opportunities for improvement and implement solutions that drive operational excellence. Develop and implement performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of operational processes and identify areas for further optimization. Lead cross-functional teams in process improvement initiatives, driving collaboration and alignment across departments. Mentor and coach team members on industrial engineering principles and methodologies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Ensure compliance with regulations and standards, while also promoting sustainability in all operational activities. Project Activation and Management: Develop comprehensive project charters delineating project objectiv s, scope, deliverables, and success criteria. Visualize current and future state workflows through process maps, identifying optimization and automation opportunities. Lead requirements gathering sessions to capture business needs and technical specifications, serving as the primary liaison between operational business teams and the Global Business Automation team. Ensure project milestones and timelines are effectively managed to ensure timely delivery and prioritize new requests accordingly. Chair project meetings to monitor progress, address issues, and disseminate updates to stakeholders. Generate VIPs and CIAs to highlight cost savings and enhancements to customer activities/experience. Establish standardized portfolio and project reporting tools to provide transparent insights into project status, performance, and key metrics. Business Application Exploration and Delivery: Lead the comprehensive exploration and proficient delivery of a spectrum of business applications, encompassing Microsoft 365 (M365), Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Planner, SharePoint, and analogous tools. Direct the assessment and adoption of innovative business applications to streamline workflows, enhance productivity, and drive operational efficiency. Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for application development and implementation. Lead cross-functional teams in the design, development, testing, and deployment phases of business application projects. Provide guidance and expertise on best practices, configurations, and customizations for optimal utilization of business applications. Ensure adherence to project timelines and quality standards throughout the application development lifecycle. Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team, encouraging the exploration of new technologies and methodologies to enhance application capabilities. Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies in business application development, recommending innovative solutions to address evolving business needs. Serve as a subject matter expert and primary point of contact for business applications, providing training, support, and troubleshooting assistance to end-users as needed. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field. Proven experience in technology project management and portfolio management, with a focus on industrial engineering leadership and cross-functional collaboration. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience with process discovery and optimization tools and techniques. Solid understanding of project management methodologies and best practices. Preferred Qualifications: MBA or advanced degree preferred. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
