PeopleReady Skilled Trades is looking for reliable HVAC Technicians and Installers in Ontario and Rancho Cucamonga. This is for a FULL TIME-TEMP TO HIRE position. The schedule will be Monday-Friday 1st shift. As an HVAC INSTALLER/TECH with PeopleReady Skilled Trades, you'll provide your support and expertise for residential and commercial projects throughout the San Bernardino and Riverside areas. Note: The hourly rate for this position is $24 - $34 / hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. Responsibilities:
Installation: Install HVAC systems, control panels, and equipment into buildings
Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and maintenance to ensure systems are operating efficiently.
This includes adjusting controls, replacing filters, and identifying and troubleshooting issues like equipment failures, refrigerant leaks, or airflow problems
Repair: Repair damaged or faulty equipment, replace parts, and perform emergency repairs
Change-outs: Replace outdated HVAC systems
Safety: Be equipped with the right safety gear and PPE, and be trained in its correct use
Customer service: Listen to customer concerns and explain what's being done to fix problems
Additional responsibilities may include: Inventory: Organize and track inventory to limit supply losses
Assisting with loading and unloading tools and materials at the jobsite
Using hand tools and benders to construct sheet metal components, cold boxes, and HVAC components
Installing ridged and flex duct as well as ceiling and wall HVAC vents
Checking refrigerants and other HVAC components with gauges and meters
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 year of experience in residential or commercial HVAC work preferred
Must be able to be comfortable working with crawl spaces and in attics
Must be passionate about the HVAC industry
Must be willing to work outside on roofs with high temperatures
Must be mechanically inclined and must be able to have the willingness to adapt and learn the trade
Must be comfortable with face to face interactions
Must be professional and presentable
Must be able to trouble shoot and service units
Must be experienced in preventative maintenance, checking filters, and diagnosing issues
Must be strong in preventative maintenance and service calls
Must be able to listen to directives and follow instructions placed by jobsite
Must have reliable transportation to and from jobsites
Must have valid CA driver license
Basic math skills addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division on the fly
Able to lift 50 pounds in order to load and unload metal and other materials as well as carry needed tools to and from the jobsite
