Job Title: CNC Mill Machinist

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled CNC Mill Machinist to join our team. This role offers flexible shifts, including 8-hour shifts from Monday to Friday starting between 2pm and 3pm, or 10-hour shifts from Monday to Thursday.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints.

• Measure and teach tools with precision.

• Machine close tolerances and fits.

• Adjust cutters to obtain required tolerances and understand the impact on subsequent programs and cutters.

• Modify programs and understand how adjustments affect subsequent programs.

• Set up and indicate parts accurately before machining.

• Write programs at the machine based on drawings.

• Select optimal machining conditions including feed, speed, depth of cut, and axis movements and positioning.

• Use micrometers and calipers to measure within .005mm or 0.0002”.

• Multi-task and prepare the next job before the current job is finished to minimize set-up time.

• Run multiple machines during long program runs.

Essential Skills

• Competency and awareness of basic machining concepts and part interactions.

• Knowledge of common computer operations to pull programs from the server to the CNC mill.

• Experience with common CNC controls.

• Ability to read, write, and edit G&M code.

• Proficiency in reading micrometers and using other measuring tools.

• Ability to understand and interpret complicated blueprints.

• At least 2 years of relevant experience with programming and CNC milling machines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Understanding of advanced machining techniques.

• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $58240.00/yr.
