Your day at NTT DATA

The HR Business Partner serves as a consultative business partner to senior managers/business leaders within assigned business groups. The primary responsibility of this position is to participate in the implementation of strategies relating to human resources and general HR support of employees in their area of responsibility and/or stakeholder group. These individuals have specialist knowledge and answer queries related to their area of responsibility and/or stakeholder group.

What you'll be doing

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in the implementation of strategies relating to the recruitment, development, engagement, and general HR support of employees.

  • Support teams and peers to align HR Initiatives and functions with business objectives and business needs.

  • Act as a consultative business partner to the assigned stakeholder group by advising the of trends in HR practices, the labor market and general developments that could impact employees in the area of responsibility.

  • Support the compilation of talent pipelines, and support any other initiatives required to effectively recruit for your areas of responsibilities.

  • Support ongoing engagement of employees in the assigned stakeholder group through communication, information sharing, and knowledge management.

  • Actively contribute to the growth and success of the business.

  • Provide expert advice and coaching to employees when appropriate.

  • Understand and solicit employee opinions and anticipate their needs and concerns.

  • Review and benchmark the internal and external environment to improve HR policies and initiatives.

  • Identify and drive the sharing of best practices across functions and within HR to facilitate continuous improvement.

  • Act as a liaison between employees and HR to ensure that HR services are aligned with internal client needs.

  • Identify new opportunities for HR to add value to the business.

  • Maintain knowledge of progressive HR practices and key trends.

  • Facilitate a strong leadership and coaching culture.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to persuade, negotiate and influence key stakeholders.

  • Success in creating and driving effective development, employee relations, retention, and reward programs.

  • Good conceptual insight and ability to think strategically.

  • Ability to manage urgent and complex tasks, processes and practices through collaboration and the understanding of the business.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills

  • Significant knowledge of HR policies, processes (e.g., workforce planning and talent management), and talent management practices

  • Proficient with computers to include the utilization of Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, Visio, Power Point and Outlook.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, HR management, Industrial Psychology or related field or equivalent work and/or education required.

  • SPHR or SHRM certification preferred.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Human Resources, or business partner

  • Demonstrated experience working as an HR Business Partner in a global organization, preferred.

  • High School Diploma required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Regularly moves equipment and other hardware up to 20 lbs.

  • Frequently move about inside and outside of data center / facility

  • Remain stationary for long periods of time.

  • Ascend / Descend a ladder and perform duties atop a raised platform.

  • Position self in small spaces.

  • Operate computer, peripherals, and other office equipment.

  • Perform work during US business hours.

  • Close visual work on a computer terminal.

  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate any required computer keyboard, mouse, and other technical instruments.

WORK CONDITIONS

  • Work onsite at a data center location.

  • Exposure to varying temperatures and loud noises

  • Exposure to outdoor weather conditions

  • Ability to travel 10%, occasionally on short notice.

  • Perform work from a remote location with stable internet connection.

  • Extensive daily usage of workstation or computer or laptop.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must possess a current, valid state-issued driver’s license.

  • Perform work during US business to support a 365/24/7-hour organization across several time zones.

  • Must participate in some capacity in the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program—use smart mobile device with cellular connectivity capable of downloading active applications.

This is a remote position that requires reliable internet connection and electricity. A monthly stipend is provided to cover expenses associated with working remotely and use of a personal mobile device, if applicable.

NTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc. offers competitive compensation based on experience, education, and location. Base salary for this position is $ 89,600 - $ 128,200.

All regular full-time employees are eligible for an annual bonus; payout is dependent upon individual and company performance.
