About the role

We are seeking an experienced individual who will own and develop sourcing strategies to support top management decisions and deliver P&L benefits. This position requires working closely with senior stakeholders and suppliers to ensure optimal commercial arrangements and drive continuous improvements.

• Job Title: Indirect Category Manager

• Function : Procurement

• Reports To: Head of Indirect Procurement

• Location: Netherlands [Preferred] /Any of the AniCura country office locations

• Languages: Proficiency in English and any other European language is a plus.

• Contract: Full Time

  Your key responsibilities will include:

• Contribute significantly to the overall performance, savings and profitability of MVH

• Work closely with senior stakeholders to identify and deliver best-value solutions

• Negotiate the best overall commercial arrangements with suppliers selected through fact-based methods.

• Become a recognised subject matter expert for your category; the Category Manager will build strong, trusted relationships with internal stakeholders and assume full responsibility for meeting business needs through: interpreting spend, category planning, deep market knowledge, influencing demand, developing sourcing strategies, deploying RFx, rigorous supplier selection and negotiations, contract development, supplier performance management, and assuring compliance with MVH policies.

• Drive change; challenge existing sourcing decisions; coordinate supplier development strategies; always prove potential for improvement.

• Lead, collaborate and participate in international strategic initiatives that align with team objectives.

• Manage relationships with existing and new suppliers.

• Manage relationships with internal stakeholders.

  Education & Professional Qualifications

• Degree and/or CIPS qualification desirable.

  You are expected to have:

• Strong commercial acumen to develop strategies.

• Creative thinker with the ability to offer innovative solutions.

• Demonstrable achievements in cost saving and value creation.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and e-sourcing tools.

• In-depth knowledge of procurement practices and policies.

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Procurement and Sourcing with exposure to strategic sourcing methodologies.

• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and suppliers.
