The Enterprise Digital & Data Solutions (EDDS) organization powers the world's best customer experiences and revenue growth through innovative data, digital and marketing products, and solutions. The Enterprise Portfolio and Program Management team (EPPM) is responsible for leading multi-year strategic programs that cut across multiple product teams as well as accelerating strategic alignment and planning across Enterprise Centers of Excellence (COE) and Technology, to elevate transparency and drive business and customer outcomes.
As Senior Manager, Digital Portfolio Management – Reporting & Insights, you will be responsible for managing the advancement of Reporting, Tooling, and Insights for enterprise prioritization and product planning across value streams, with a focus on enabling efficient forecasting, discovery, and delivery of customer journeys to market across Amex’s digital channels. You will manage cross-functional stakeholder relationships and work to increase transparency and predictability into capacity, planning, and delivery of EDDS and enterprise priorities. You will contribute to strategies that drive greater connectivity of data and insights across program, product ops, portfolio, and EDDS planning to apply lean systems thinking to strategy, investment funding, and agile operations to manage the enterprise roadmap, support LOB decision makers and partner effectively across product, platform, and engineering teams.
The ideal candidate for this role will be a skillful communicator who enjoys a fast-paced environment, operates cross-functionally, has a strong aptitude for reporting, tooling, and process innovation, and is able to influence a broad set of stakeholders, all while maintaining a sense of humor in the face of challenges.
This role reports to Director, Digital Portfolio Management - Reporting & Insights.
Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to a comprehensive reporting and tooling strategy to enable a “closed loop” of data across portfolio, program, product ops, and product/platform teams
Partner with Technology to advance enterprise tooling suite, supporting product and platform needs to enable ease of use and effective planning
Collaborate across LOBs and COEs to stand-up best in class reporting, tools, insights, and operating practices that optimize flow of product delivery across the complex digital ecosystem
Create and deliver executive level presentations and drive proactive recommendations to solve complex business challenges
Close coordination and communication will be required with the Product Managers, Engineering and LOB Stakeholders.
Required Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience working across portfolio/product development and engineering teams
Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience with (or certification in) enterprise-level BI / Data Visualization Tools such as Tableau (preferred), PowerBI, Sisense, etc.
Strong understanding of data structures, relational databases and data modeling – experience with Big Data platforms (Cornerstone, BigQuery, etc) a plus
Familiarity with UX / Dashboard design principles
Experience in automation/scripting with tools such as VBA or Python, etc.
Experience with enterprise collaboration tools including Jira, Rally, Confluence and Airtable
Expert in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and Powerpoint; SharePoint and Power Apps a plus
Skilled in Agile product development methodologies, program and project management, with proven ability to define and deliver a product roadmap
Excellent collaborator with ability to foster co-creation across a broad set of partners to ideate, solution, prioritize, and deliver a diverse set of requirements accommodating various personas
Strong communication skills with the ability to visualize data and translate insights into a clear story and recommendations in a concise way to senior audiences
Demonstrated ability to self-start, carve opportunities out of white space, solve problems
A curious mind with a keen attention to detail
History of high performance with proven ability to excel in a fast-paced environment, adjust to shifting priorities, and adapt to change
Ability to maintain a positive attitude and sense of humor in the face of challenges
Qualifications
Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually bonus benefits
