St. Luke's University Health Network Business Relationship Manager in Allentown, Pennsylvania

The Business Relationship Manager works directly with the Clinical Service Line representatives and clinical department's Epic and Information Technology governance committee (including Physicians, Nursing and Revenue Cycle) to coordinate and facilitate proficiency and optimization of the Epic Comprehensive Health Record and other non-Epic software. Working with the governance structure the Business Relationship Manager will secure data reports, coordinate data Analytics, proficiency training, clinical content maintenance and physician builder optimization in the Epic software.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with the Network leaders (Administration and Physician Champions) to establish operational management of the ambulatory and inpatient software.

  • Partner with the business to deploy and optimize clinical and administrative software.

  • Provide administrative support to the assigned governance committees including organizing meetings, maintaining records and implementing policy decisions.

  • Develops subcommittee strategies for service line optimization including: Physician Builder programs, remedial training programs, clinical content optimization plans and maintenance of service line specific clinical content.

  • Organize and coordinate on boarding of new staff and providers access to clinical and nonclinical Information Technology software packages

  • Partner with operational engagement teams in delivering information technology software (Epic and non-Epic) to newly acquired ambulatory practices and hospital facilities

  • Coordinate clinical service line and departmental adoption of innovation technologies and devices. Work with Innovation to help understand what problems each customer business line is having with process and technology and assist in implementing solutions.

  • Work with IT service management teams to deliver service level reports for each customer including break-fix, demand, projects, maintenance, etc.

  • Maintain a communication strategy to bring demand prioritization recommendations between appropriate governance committees and subcommittees.

  • Coordinate and deploy the post optimization programs after go-lives of all technology deployments.

PHYSICAL/SENSORY DEMANDS:

Sitting for up to 7 hours per day, 4 hours at a time; standing for up to 7 hours per day, 4 hours at a time; walking for up to 2 hours a day, 1 hour at a time. Requires crouching, kneeling, and lifting of objects weighing up to 40 pounds, pushing objects weighing up to 60 pounds. Requires hand and finger dexterity to perform repairs of small equipment and to use computer equipment. Seeing as it relates to general, near, color, and peripheral vision. Hearing as it relates to normal and telephone conversations.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or Healthcare Administration or equivalent work experience is preferred. Advanced degree is preferred.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

3-5 years of General Computer experience is required. Strong written and oral communication required. Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills required. MS Office is required.

Extensive hospital operations experience from both a personnel and workflow perspective is required.
