Summary
The Lead, MarTech Integration is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing SHRM’s marketing technology framework to drive efficiency, personalization, and ROI across all product lines. This role will ensure seamless integrations across digital marketing platforms, enhance automation and campaign management, and lead cross-functional collaboration with IT, Business Intelligence, and Marketing teams.
As the internal subject matter expert, this role will stay current with marketing automation, CDP platforms, AI-driven personalization, and attribution models, ensuring SHRM’s B2B and B2C marketing strategies leverage cutting-edge technology. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Marketo and will facilitate, promote, and support a test-and-learn culture to optimize marketing effectiveness.
Responsibilities
Marketing Technology Leadership & Strategy
Serve as the primary marketing technology strategist, ensuring SHRM’s platforms align with business and marketing goals.
Identify, evaluate, and implement new technologies to improve campaign performance, audience segmentation, and personalization.
Lead the strategy and execution of Marketo and other marketing automation tools, ensuring seamless integration with CRM, web, and analytics platforms.
Develop and maintain a cross-channel campaign management architecture, integrating email, web, social, and paid media.
Partner with IT and Business Intelligence teams to ensure correct tracking codes, campaign tagging, and audience segmentation across all digital touchpoints.
Marketing Automation & Personalization
Oversee advanced audience segmentation, personalization strategies, and automation workflows within Marketo.
Support web and email personalization technologies, driving use case development to improve user experience.
Manage cross-channel tracking and tagging for marketing campaigns, ensuring accurate reporting and attribution.
Conduct multivariate and A/B testing to optimize creative, messaging, and campaign performance.
Work closely with the business intelligence team to develop real-time marketing dashboards and attribution models.
Technology Integrations & Process Optimization
Serve as the liaison between Marketing and IT, ensuring marketing technology solutions are scalable, efficient, and aligned with business needs.
Design and develop scalable middleware applications to bridge integration gaps between marketing and enterprise systems.
Partner with the Business Intelligence and Data Science teams to improve predictive analytics and machine learning-driven recommendations.
Drive the implementation and optimization of CDPs to improve data unification, customer insights, and omnichannel marketing.
Education & Experience Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Experience:
At least seven (7) years of experience in marketing technology, digital marketing, or a related field.
Proven expertise in Marketo, including automation workflows, audience segmentation, and performance optimization.
Hands-on experience with cross-channel campaign management, CDP platforms, and web personalization technologies.
Experience collaborating with IT, Business Intelligence, and marketing teams to optimize technology integrations and marketing performance.
Experience with Salesforce, Interaction Studio (formerly Evergage), Google Marketing Platform (GA360, Tag Manager, Optimize) preferred.
Exposure to predictive analytics, AI-driven marketing, and machine learning for customer segmentation preferred.
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, and relational databases preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong knowledge of marketing analytics, campaign attribution models, and data-driven decision-making.
Strong project management skills, capable of handling multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Strong analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to marketing optimization.
Expert knowledge of marketing automation, email best practices, audience segmentation, and CRM integrations.
Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and align technology with business objectives.
Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to improving marketing processes and technology integrations.
Certifications
Marketo Certified Professional preferred.
Google Analytics Certified preferred.

Work Environment
Hybrid Position (3 Days In-Office, 2 Days Remote):
- This position follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring in-office presence [three days per week] and remote work [two days per week]. Core work hours will be designated by the department. The office environment includes a standard workstation setup with collaborative spaces, while remote work requires a reliable high-speed internet connection and a suitable home workspace. Employees must maintain availability during standard business hours and adhere to company policies for both in-office and remote work.
Travel: 0 – 10%
#LI-Hybrid The hiring range for this position is $90,000 to $115,000 per year. This range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. SHRM offers a competitive and comprehensive total rewards package.
