This Provider Relations Advocate role with UnitedHealth Group will call on your knowledge, your energy and your commitment to making health care work more effectively for more people. In this role, you'll use your solid customer service orientation and knowledge of insurance claims to serve as an advocate for providers in our networks. Primary Responsibilities:
Contribute to design and implementation of programs that build/nurture positive relationships between the dental plan, providers and practice managers
Assist in efforts to enhance ease of use of provider portal and future services enhancements
Claims research/resolution
Support development and management of provider networks via 75% telephone interaction
Help implement training and development of external providers through education programs
Identify gaps in network composition and services to assist network contracting and development teams
Telephonic Provider Education
Front Line support to help resolve provider issues
Oversees provider TIN demographic changes
Assists with recovery of incomplete provider documentation
Assist with administrative tasks and provider tickets
Claim Escalation assistance
Assists with member placement and escalations
Associate Dental Provider Adds
Prioritize and organize own work to meet deadlines
Act as the liaison between the provider, client and members
Handling high level escalations
Be able to manage workload autonomously and meet goals and deadlines
Management of Dental Service Organizations (DSO) & large groups

Required Qualifications:
3+ years of health care and/or dental experience and/or 2+ years of provider relations and/or provider network experience
Demonstrated intermediate level of proficiency research and resolution of provider issues
Intermediate level of Proficiency with Outlook, MS Word and Excel
Ability to prospect new and existing provider leads
25% travel throughout the state of New Mexico and border states
Preferred Qualifications:
Exceptional sales presentation skills in a high-pressure environment
Medicaid knowledge
Dental industry knowledge
Dental Treatment Plan Coordinator/Dental Office Manager experience
Knowledge of PPO and Medicare/Medicaid products
Sales / Call environment experience
Salesforce experience
MS PowerPoint experience
Knowledge of claims processing systems and guidelines
Soft Skills:
Solid written and oral communication and ability to interact with Senior Leadership
Issue resolution and problem-solving skills
The salary range for this role is $59,500 to $116,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with al minimum wage laws as applicable.
