Purpose: The Summer Teller will assist customers with their banking transactions while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. You will gain a solid understanding of banking procedures, from processing deposits and withdrawals to helping customers with inquiries about products and services. This position is perfect for individuals looking to enhance their communication, problem-solving, and cash-handling skills in a dynamic, customer-oriented environment. This Float position will be traveling within the assigned branch footprint of 2-3 branches to provide support to our teams. This role will begin in May, extending 10-12 weeks with opportunities to be extended past summer or with a full-time employment offer.


Essential Functions:

  • Provide support to retail branch staff in assigned footprint.
  • Greets clients and prospective clients entering the office following established customer service guidelines.
  • Provides exceptional customer service and an outstanding banking experience by handling financial transactions accurately and professionally.
  • Maintains responsibility for a cash drawer and follows proper balancing procedures.
  • Supports daily operations of the office to include processing night deposit bags, ATM deposits, balancing the vault, ATM, cash recycler, and cash advance machine, or other operational needs.
  • Answer the phone within the office promptly and professionally.
  • Ensures compliance with security and audit procedures.
  • Understands and adheres to established policies and procedures.
  • Maintains knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements and completes assigned compliance training.
  • Develops and maintains knowledge of bank products and services.
  • Introduces customers to alternate banking channels including ATM/ITM and Digital
  • Identifies customer needs and refers to the appropriate team member/business partner.
  • Demonstrate the standards and principles of the Five Star Bank experience in every interaction with internal and external customers, associates, and stakeholders. Incorporate the high-performance behaviors of teamwork, leading by example, and service in every facet of work


Job Related Qualifications:

Required:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Prior Experience: Prior Customer Service experience preferred
  • Licenses or Accreditation: None.

  • Ability to successfully utilize multiple systems and applications accurately and simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of and ability to provide products and services available through retail banking.

Compensation offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education and, where applicable, licenses or certifications obtained.
