Our client, a well-established organization located near Albany, NY, is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Accountant to join their team. This role is pivotal to their financial reporting and analysis efforts, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of their general ledger and financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and deliver comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

• Conduct in-depth financial analysis and report on variances to support decision-making processes.

• Oversee general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records.

• Ensure compliance with internal accounting controls and safeguard financial assets.

• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing detailed analysis and recommendations.

• Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations.

• Collaborate with external auditors during financial audits, ensuring all necessary documentation is provided.

• Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations, implementing best practices as needed.

• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support as necessary.

• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.

• Identify process improvements and implement strategies to enhance financial operations.

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA strongly preferred.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.

• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Experience with financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, and financial analysis.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
