Software Engineer!!

Job Description

This role supports a new business line. The client currently does not have any in-house Software Engineers, as this work was previously outsourced. They are looking to build an internal software team. This position will lead, create, and build the software department and eventually mentor a Junior Software Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage databases.

• Modify existing Android apps for current machines and products.

• Develop GUI/front-end solutions.

• Engage in full stack development.

• Integrate AI and machine learning into software solutions.

Essential Skills

• 10+ years of experience in Software Engineering with a strong focus on database building.

• Proficiency in GUI development.

• Experience in modifying Android apps.

• Full stack development expertise.

• Knowledge and experience in AI and machine learning.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in database development and creation.

• Proficiency in GUI, AI, and machine learning technologies.

• Capability in full stack development.

Work Environment

This position is primarily on-site at a brand new office in Akron, with possible remote flexibility. The office space is dog-friendly. Initially, this person will be the only Software Engineer, with plans to add another Software Engineer next year, whom this person will mentor. The role is not customer-facing, making it ideal for someone who prefers not to interact with customers daily.
