Join our team as a Maintenance Manager and lead the Maintenance team to implement Maintenance plans, optimize processes, and achieve preventative maintenance plans and deadlines. Job title: Maintenance Manager Location: Akron, OH Shift: 1 ^st^ shift Compensation: $90-$105k salary based on experience This is a direct hire opportunity with the company! As the Maintenance Manager you would direct and coordinate activities of workers in the repair, maintenance, and installation of production equipment, as well as Facilities Maintenance. Duties/Responsibilities

  • Review job orders to determine work priorities.
  • Schedule repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operations.
  • Coordinate activities of maintenance personnel.
  • Direct maintenance activities to provide continuous supply of heat, steam, electric, power, gas, or air required for operations.
  • Displays knowledge of plant operational systems including refrigeration, electrical, air, and piping. Knowledge of PLC's, fillers, packaging equipment, and support equipment.
  • Develops preventative maintenance program in conjunction with production scheduling and maintenance staff.
  • Plans, develops, and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.
  • Review new product plans and discuss equipment needs and modifications with engineering.
  • Requisitions for tools, equipment, and supplies required for operators.
  • Directs training of workers.
  • Prepares department budget and monitors expenditure of funds in budget.
  • Enforce all food safety and food quality policies and procedures.

Skills/Qualifications

  • 5 or more years' experience in a production or maintenance operations management role.
  • Previous food or beverage manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent skills in problem solving, decision making, organizational, and time management.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and quality control standards
  • Ability to interpret financial data.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • High School Diploma or GED required, bachelor's degree in engineering preferred.
  • Will be subject to pre-employment screening.
