Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Machine Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, operating, and maintaining various machines to ensure efficient production. The role involves frequent quality inspections and mechanical adjustments to ensure the optimal functioning of the machinery.
Responsibilities
Prepare the machine for operation
Check the machine for proper functioning
Oil the machine regularly
Monitor pressure gauges
Start the machine and ensure it runs smoothly
Conduct quality inspections at specific times using micrometers, calipers, and drawings
Troubleshoot and repair any mechanical issues
Perform mechanical adjustments as needed
Essential Skills
Experience as a Machine Operator
Ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery
Proficiency in using micrometers and calipers
Experience in manufacturing and maintenance
Quality inspection skills
Preventive maintenance skills
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Manufacturing experience
Inspection experience with micrometers
Mechanical experience
High School Diploma or GED
Strong shop math skills

Work Environment
The work takes place in a 130,000 sq. ft. facility in Addison. The environment includes oily and greasy machines, loud noise levels, and a slight smell of oils and exhaust. The role is for the 2nd shift.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Addison, Illinois.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
